Identifying Features

Sturdy, rounded tips, horizontal serrations with a notable divot in the center of each jaw.The jaws may me made of stainless steel or tungsten carbide. The tunsten carbide jaws are identified by gold ring handles

Used to hold medium to large suture needles, such as SH, CT, CT-1 and FSLX. Used in conjunction with a toothed tissue forcep to grasp tissue during suturing

Sterile Processing Info

Inspect the jaws for wear, and ensure they meet together evenly. Inspect box locks and jaws for retained bioburden. Test ratchets for firm but easily releasable closure.
